We now return you to your regularly scheduled blogging…

Where to begin? While this is being posted as of the day it actually happened, I’m writing this 2 weeks later to the day.

Last time I blogged, we were headed out to Puncak for a day trip. On the way up to Puncak, we stopped at Cimory for lunch – they make their own yogurt and sausages! Lorenzo ate a HUMONGOUS sausage “hot dog” sans bun with ketchup so quickly that everyone thought he didn’t eat at all.

The highlight of the trip was Taman Bunga Nusantara. It’s a ginormous botanical garden with topiary animals and ducks and fish to feed as well as a theme park-like area where there are bumper cars and train rides and pony rides and so on. It wasn’t very crowded as school had just started when we went.

I’ve got a slideshow of Taman Bunga Nusantara that you can view here.

After Taman Bunga, we headed back to Jakarta and stopped off at Rindu Alam for dinner and souvenirs. I managed to score two lovely handmade batik artworks on the cheap. The starting price was $12 EACH. Final price for two? 60.000rp. That’s right at $6USD. Mama for the tawar win!

Here's Lorenzo enjoying his favorite fruit: Duren (Durian)

To be continued…
