How was your weekend? I'm borrowing a meme from Shoes & Pie. Today's theme is "Someone who came into your life unexpected and made an impact".

Once upon a time, there was a girl. And she would frequent a nightclub. And there was a bartender who would flirt with the girl. And for one glorious summer, the bartender and the girl had a glorious time. He opened her eyes to a different world and she taught him the word "recalcitrant". And though the summer was short and both went their separate ways, the girl will always look back at that summer and smile. Because for one summer, she was able to be free. To just be. With no expectations of who she was supposed to be. NO need to perform for others. And it changed her life forever. The bartender opened wide a window that could never be closed tight again. And with the sun and the fresh air and the freedom came a hint of what she could do and who she could be in the future. That summer was a very long time ago. The bartender and the girl moved far away from each other and found life partners of their own. The girl found her happy ever after eventually. But she still smiles every time she thinks of the bartender. And she's willing to bet that the bartender smiles when he remembers her, too.
